Mixed-Use Building Rises Quickly In Chicago
North Wells Capital’s 15-story mixed-use tower at 311 W Huron Street in River North is quickly rising. The tower will stand 226 feet tall (68.8 meters) and offer a blend of retail and office space. North Wells Capital secured Spins as the anchor tenant with an US$88 million lease. Spins will occupy the top four floors.
Spanning 153,000 square feet (14,214 square meters) in size with Class A office space and 8,500 square feet (789 square meters) for retail, the floor plates of the building will measure 16,250 square feet (1,509 square meters). Each floor will have floor-to-ceiling windows and access to amenities.
Designed by NORR, The tower's exterior will is proposed to be a glass and metal panel façade with a curved penthouse. The dynamic wall along the podium will be responsive to wind.
