The Melbourne project, 405 Bourke Street, has just completed. Multiplex, the project’s main contractor, topped out the building about 12 months ago. At the time, the project was scheduled to complete in the first quarter of this year. However, numerous lockdowns in the area, caused by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, caused delays as workforce at the site was limited. The completion of the project comes just as the city prepares to be released from its sixth lockdown.

This A-grade office building cost US$950 million. The projects co-investors are ISPT and Brookfield Properties. The sole tenant will be the National Australia Bank who have a 12-year lease and plans to make this project its new headquarters. Overall, this project can house more than 6,000 workers.

The project was designed by Woods Bagot and is located in Melbourne’s central business district. It has 39 floors and a total floor area of 66,000 square meters (710,400 square feet). Both the 5 Star Green Star Office Design rating and a minimum 5 Star NABERS Energy Rating are being targeted post completion.
