Torre Manatí, one of the most ambitious construction projects in Izabal, has received approval to begin construction on the shores of the Bay of Santo Tomás de Castilla.

The group Desarrollos Inmobiliarios Izabal announced that it has received a construction license and are approved to move forward with the project.

“For us, complying with the regulations and obtaining the construction guarantee for this project strengthens the opportunities that Puerto Barrios offers as an investment destination. Puerto Barrios is a high impact zone for commerce, industry and tourism, as it is located in a strategic geopolitical zone with a connection to the Caribbean, the United States and Europe, ” indicated Gastón Machado, Izabal Real Estate Development Manager.

Torre Manatí is a being built by Desarrollos Inmobiliarios Izabal, with an investment of approximately US$40 million. Once built, it will become the tallest tower in the country and in the CA5 region.

The project will deliver over 39,000 square meters, and will stand 160 meters high with 40 floors. There will be a total of 136 apartments ranging in size from 134 to 304 square meters.

Building amenities include a private pool on the top floor, a private club, a gym and a private white sand beach. 

Within the building there will be shops, a bar and a restaurant, a luxurious marina, a heliport, and a bar.

Apartment prices start at US$250,000.
