Enabling works on site are close to completion at South London’s Kidbrooke Square, allowing the joint venture of developers Transport for London and Notting Hill Genesis to move into main construction.

Ardmore has secured the job to deliver Phase 1 of the project. The contractor will construct 413 homes for private sale, shared ownership and affordable rent, within six new blocks featuring brick-built façades reaching heights of up to 16 stories, clustered around landscaped courtyards.

The first phase of the development, which is believed to be worth around £100 million (US$139 million) will also incorporate the sitewide energy center and a new public square as well as an improved transport hub connecting Kidbrooke Station and local bus services.

Designed by Glenn Howells Architects, the project will eventually deliver 619 new homes once two other towers in phase 2 are completed. Phase 1 is expected to complete in 2023.
