Key Contracts are Awarded for Dubai Residential Complex

Key contracts have been awarded by developer Expo City Dubai for the construction of Mangrove Residences to three UAE-based companies and one international firm, marking significant progress in the construction that is set to welcome its first residents in early 2026. 

Mangrove Residences in Dubai, is made up of three residential high-rises located at the heart of Expo City development and just a five-minute walk from its main attractions. It is one of three unique apartment clusters forming Expo Central. Expo City has partnered with local demolition company USF to remove the former Expo 2020 Dubai pavilions and existing structures on the designated plot. Proscape, a Dubai-based landscaping firm, is handling infrastructure and clearance works. International Foundation Group (IFG) has been chosen to handle enabling and shoring works. Shapoorji Pallonji International, a global construction firm, is managing the main construction.

Ahmed Al Khatib, Chief Development and Delivery Officer at Expo City Dubai, expressed pride in collaborating with companies that have a proven track record in delivering high-quality urban design. He highlighted the project's progress and its status of being on schedule to welcome residents in 2026 and focusing on its prime location in Dubai’s growth corridor.

Mangrove Residences will add 450 units comprising of one- to three-bedroom apartments, four-bedroom loft apartments, and three-bedroom townhouses offering views of Al Wasl Plaza. Launched in March 2023, the units are fully sold out, underscoring the community's desirability for housing.

Expo City is also developing Sky Residences, with two high-rises already receiving attention with a third building set to launch soon. Sidr Residences, the third project in Expo Central, is scheduled for launch by the end of 2024.
