Houston Plan for Residential Tower Moves Forward with Changes
For over a decade, the proposed Ashby High-Rise on Bissonnet Street has been opposed by the residents of the Boulevard Oaks neighborhood. This opposition included a lawsuit. Recently, however, plans for the tower have been approved and are set to move forward. Now called The Langley, plans to break ground are imminent.
StreetLights Residential is the current developer. The initial plan from years ago called for a 21-story tower with 228 residential units and 10,000-square feet (929 square meters) of retail. The new plan will now ascend 20 stories and offer 134 units instead.
