Groundbreaking Ceremony for New Fort Worth Project

The Deco 969 project just had its groundbreaking ceremony. It will be a high-rise residential building in downtown Fort Worth. This project will be part of the city’s overall goal to increase density to ensure the city’s vitality. The project’s site is at 969 South Commerce Street, near the Fort Worth’s Central Station, giving it convenient access to public transportation. 

The project will be 27 stories tall and will have a total area of about 28,680 square meters (308,680 square feet). Overall, the project will contain 302 apartments and penthouses. Each one will be 101 square meters (1,090 square feet) on average. The project also plans for 74-square-meters (8,000-square-feet) worth of retail space, eight floors of above-grade parking, and space for a restaurant on the first floor.

The developer of this project is Southern Land Company and the architects are GDA Architects. The project is predicted to complete in the summer of 2023.
