Plans have been shared by Montreal developer Devimco for Palma Condominiums, a CAD$120 million residential high-rise within the Solar Uniquartier development on the south shore of Greater Montreal in Brossard. The 19-story building will include 313 units with a range from studios, one-, two- and three-bedroom condos and penthouses.

The distinctive architectural design of the residential project has undulating balconies on all four facades and a monochromatic white exterior. The development is surrounded by parks, and features a central park also. Amenities will include a telework area, a lounge at the main entrance, a gym and spa, thermal showers, a hot tub, and a Jacuzzi. A rooftop terrace will offer a pool and barbecue facilities.  The property will boast over 8,000 square feet (743 square meters) of common space.

The development, in partnership with Fonds immobilier de solidarité FTQ and Fondaction, will incorporate sustainability features such as a green roof, a rainwater harvesting system, and an automated plumbing system to reduce water consumption. It is also within walking distance of Du Quartier station on the Réseau express métropolitain (REM), providing a 10-minute commute to downtown Montreal.

Solar Uniquartier started construction in 2017  as Quebec’s largest transit-oriented development and is more than 50 percent complete, with 14 buildings constructed so far. Devimco plans to continue expanding the neighborhood with additional commercial spaces. Despite economic uncertainties, the developer remains optimistic about Montreal’s real estate market, citing recent interest rate cuts and the high demand for housing.
