Fire Breaks Out on NYC Skyscraper Rooftop
A fire at 451 10th Avenue in New York City broke out on the roof of a 45-story skyscraper. Set within the Hudson Yards neighborhood, dense plumes of smoke were visible across the city. The fire was first reported around 11:30 a.m. (EST) and was declared under control by 1 p.m according to the fire department spokesperson.
About 80 firefighters responded to the blaze. There were no reports of injuries and firefighters have now cleared the scene. The cause of the fire has not yet been confirmed by the fire department. The residential building "The Set" was completed in 2022 and consists of an all-concrete structure.
