The Tokyo Metropolitan Government complex is about to receive its final renovation. This final renovation will be for Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, the tallest building in the complex. Two renovations have already completed on the other buildings in the complex.

The applications for this renovation will be accepted from 1 to 5 November, and the bidding will open 16 December. There will be three competitive bidding categories for the renovation: air conditioning equipment repair work, electrical equipment repair work, and water supply sanitation equipment repair work. These renovations are expected to cost 800 to 900 million yen (US$ 7 to 7.8 million), 700 to 750 million yen (US$ 6.1 to 6.5 million), and 400 to 450 million yen (US$ 3.5 to 3.9 million) respectively.

The renovations on the complex started in April 2012. The goal of the various renovations was to both renew the different facilities and to improve the complex’s ability to function as a disaster prevention base. This final renovation is scheduled to complete in March 2025.
