European Architect Awarded Bogotá Tower Job
Bogle Architects has been selected to design the envelope of a 19-story residential tower in Bogotá, Colombia.
According to the London- and Prague-based practice, the tower will feature a layered façade system that respects the local context of the city while allowing views across Colombia’s capital. Working with local architects and consultants, Bogle Architects will develop a façade design making extensive use of copper panels.
Ian Bogle, founder of Bogle Architects said, “This is a fantastic addition to our diverse portfolio and represents our first venture into South America. It has been a fascinating city to visit and I personally look forward to undertaking more projects in this remarkable country.”
Colombian architects working on the project for Nicolas Manrique Construcción include Guillermo Arias and Octubre Design.
The project is currently under construction and is expected to complete in spring 2019.
