Court Collaboration, a real estate developer in Birmingham, England, has announced the launch of a 51-story build to rent (BTR) scheme, ONE Eastside Birmingham. If constructed as planned at 160 meters, it is to be the tallest building in Birmingham, and will comprise 667 luxury units as well as various public realms.

Court Collaboration CEO and founder Anthony McCourt said: “We are truly excited about One Eastside. Bringing such a tower of scale to the region and adjacent to the entrance to our new HS2 station, this scheme will create new standards of city-center living for its residents.”

The scheme, funded through financial backing from several investors, has a gross development value of £160 million (US$208 million). Construction is expected to commence in November 2019 and be completed in the fourth quarter of 2022. Court Collaboration has worked alongside various global investors on two other Birmingham projects: The Axium and Arden Gate.

ONE Eastside, the largest BTR scheme in Birmingham, will be located close to the new HS2 (High-Speed Rail 2) station offering direct links to London in less than an hour. Other Birmingham landmarks such as Grand Central, The Mailbox, Bullring and the central business district are within a 10-minute walk. It will also be near universities, including Birmingham City University, and close to the Brindleyplace and the Jewellery Quarter.

A rooftop sky bar for residents, a cinema, and a variety of yoga and gym facilities will also be included in the luxury development, and owners will be allowed to keep pets. The development will be sold through the Courts’ sales team – Court Living.
