The residents at 432 Park Avenue in New York City have sued the developers, CIM Group and Macklowe Properties, over a list of 1,500 alleged defects.

The building, which has 85 floors and reaches 427.5 meters, was completed in 2015. Construction and design flaws listed in the US$250 million lawsuit include electrical explosions, and vibrations and noise from the building itself. Other issues include elevator malfunctions and flooding in 35 residences, according to an article in Gawker.

In a statement, the building’s sponsor, a company formed by the developers, said the condo board had limited access to the building to address the issues in the suit and that the homeowners association misunderstood its obligation as sponsor, according to the BBC.
