Urban Agency Architects has designed a project for Vancouver called Vancouver Forest. The materiality of the building takes inspiration from the scenic forests in the surrounding region. This design uses bamboo cross-laminated timber (CLT) for both the structure and cladding. Concrete is only used for the elevators and fire stairs to comply with the local building codes.

The project will have 19 floors overall. The first three levels of the building are separated and contain various community space. The fourth-floor spans to connect the two forms. This creates a covered passage through the project that connects the parallel streets. The remaining floors contain residential units.
