Designs for Exclusive 14-Story Live-Work Building in Seoul are Unveiled
Foster + Partners has unveiled designs for a 14-story live-work building in Seoul, tailored to personalized business hospitality. Located on Dosan-daero Road, the building features meeting rooms, wellness facilities, and 12 private whole-floor units, designed to host and entertain.
David Summerfield, Head of Studio at Foster + Partners, highlighted the building’s holistic design, which prioritizes wellbeing through naturally ventilated spaces and outdoor areas. Each unit includes personal vaults with dining rooms, bars, and wine cellars, creating an immersive experience for owners and guests. Wellness facilities include a spa, pool, and luxury treatment areas.
The street-facing façade features bay windows, green balconies, and winter gardens for natural ventilation. The arts lounge and bar, vaults, and wellness level are divided into a series of separate spaces to guarantee complete privacy for all owners and their guests. A lightwell on northern side of the building draws natural light down into the vaults and pool, which are located below ground. The penthouse boasts a private rooftop terrace with city views. Ben Scott, Senior Partner at Foster + Partners, described the building as a blend of office, home, and private club, offering a bespoke experience for high-level business professionals.
