Construction is now complete on the Pendry Manhattan West Hotel, a 281-foot-tall (85.6-meter-tall) mixed-use structure at Four Manhattan West in Midtown West. Designed by Skidmore Owings & Merrill and developed by Brookfield Properties, the 22-story project makes up one of five separate buildings in the Manhattan West master plan, which sits directly across Tenth Avenue from Hudson Yards. The property is located along West 33rd Street between Ninth and Tenth Avenues, wedged between One Manhattan West and Five Manhattan West

All façade work is complete, with activity now focused on the sidewalks around the northern entrance and the curved, inclined walkways on the western side of the building that lead to the Manhattan West complex’s central plaza. The orange and white sidewalk barriers and metal fencing should be removed soon. The exterior hoist has been completely dismantled since our last update in June, and the upper extension atop the roof parapet looks to be completed as well. This part of the structure was still underway during the summer and fall and now appears to be enclosed in an envelope of lightly corrugated white metal paneling. Surrounding this is a perimeter of metal railings around the edges of the building.

The property is conveniently accessible via the 7 train at the nearby 34th Street-Hudson Yards station, as well as the A, C, E, New Jersey Transit, Long Island Railroad, and Amtrak trains to the east at Pennsylvania Station. Across the street is a ramp that leads to the Lincoln Tunnel.

The Pendry Manhattan West Hotel appears to be ready to open in early 2021.
