Commercial District Proposed at Canada Water Dockside, London

In conjunction with Bjarke Ingels Group and Art-Invest Real Estate UK, London-based HWKN is creating 18,200 square meters of city improvements in the business quarter of the Canada Water regeneration plan in London. The scheme will include workspace, commerce, and communal facilities. 

The Canada Water master plan will rework a complete of 215,000 square meters and is anticipated to deliver as many as 3,000 new houses, 280,000 square meters of workspace, and public neighborhood area in central-south London. Completion of the plan is anticipated in 2035.

Located on the peninsula of Rotherhithe, on the floodplains of the Thames, the docks have a unique industrial heritage that has included Roman roads to being a hub for timber commerce through the industrial revolution to hosting an ecological park in the 1980s.
