Colombo Tower Approaches Topping Out
447 Luna Tower has made substantial progress toward topping out at 45-stories, with 190 upscale apartments and is in the heart of Colombo. The building has reached the 35th level, which consists of the two, three- and four-bedroom apartments.
In enlisting PWA, a firm that has produced an array of upmarket hotels and minimalist designer homes in its portfolio, as the principal architect, 447 Luna Tower has differentiated itself through a its aesthetics and well-thought-out functionality.
Apartment sizes range from two-bedroom units of 842 square feet (78 square meters) to four-bedroom units of 2,283 square feet (212 square meters).
In that sense, areas which generally take up additional amounts of space – such as the kitchen and bathrooms – have been laid out in an efficient manner using smart plumbing and wiring. In the case of the bathrooms, premium Marazzi bathroom tiles complete with Hansgrohe and Duravit fittings ensure a high-quality finish across the board, while the German-made kitchen area sees room for all the essentials: fridge, oven, and stove.
This is the first of many projects to be undertaken through the Asia Capital and Belluna alliance. Other projects include a 300-room city hotel on Marine Drive in Colombo which is currently under construction; a 57-room resort in Galle, which opened in August 2018; as well as the alliance’s first endeavor with Marriott International, debuting the Westin Maldives Miriandhoo Resort, entailing 70 villas, which opened in October of 2018. Belluna Co. Ltd., Japan’s long-term plans with Asia Capital PLC reiterate the company’s confidence in Sri Lanka’s growing real estate industry.
