A historic Harry-Weese designed 14-story building in Streeterville, Chicago has been sold for US$10.5 million from Brad Management to Chicago-based Altitude Capital Partners.

Built in 1956, the 25-unit property at 227 E. Walton Street holds landmark status—the only one by Harry Weese in Chicago to do so—and has been through multiple conversions from rental to condo units over the years.

When Weese originally designed the building, he also served as its developer, and together with broker John Baird, initially sold the units as a co-op apartments. This didn't work out as intended, so the units were rented out, but then later converted to condos in 1969, which is how they remained until Brad Management converted them back to rental units again.
