JTP has submitted plans for a multi-story tower ranging from 7 to 21 floors in Ealing, west London. The proposed development is for student accommodation on Hastings Road and would use offsite, 3D volumetric modular methods. The scheme is one of two towers currently proposed in the area, with the John Lewis Partnership also submitting plans for a 19-story housing development nearby. A local campaign group called "Stop the Towers" has expressed concerns about the height of both developments and their impact on local homes. The planning applications by both JTP and John Lewis reference each other as examples of similar-sized buildings in the vicinity. The JTP proposal has undergone revisions in response to feedback received during a public consultation. Ealing Council leader Peter Mason criticized the John Lewis proposals for being too tall and lacking sufficient affordable housing.

The plans for the John Lewis development have been amended, including changes to the brick treatment, and the company aims to provide at least 20% affordable homes. The viability of both schemes will be further assessed during the planning application process. The John Lewis Partnership is committed to delivering 35% affordable housing to address the local community's needs. The Ealing Council spokesperson did not comment on the council's views regarding the JTP proposal. JTP stated in their planning application that, at this stage, the proposed height of the scheme cannot be given weight as the London Borough of Ealing is still finalizing a new local plan. Both JTP and Tide Construction, a modular specialist, have previously collaborated on projects, including the Lewisham Exchange, which is claimed to be the tallest modular student accommodation tower in the world.
