Amsterdam Apartment Complex Targets Reasonable Prices
On the corner of Postjesweg and Derkinderenstraat in Amsterdam Nieuw-West, Maarsen Groep plans to develop a rental home complex that will deliver 221 medium-priced apartments and commercial facilities on the ground floor.
The project will involve two buildings, named Caritas and Fortitudo, located around a communal courtyard.
There will be 67 apartments in the nine-story Fortitudo, which is being realized on behalf of Maarsen Groep. Caritas will have 19 floors and is being built on behalf of Invesco Real Estate. It will have 154 apartments with views over the Rembrandtpark, as well as 32 parking spaces.
The two- to three-bedroom apartments will range in size from 42 to 58 square meters. Rental prices for the apartments will be pegged the middle of the range for Amsterdam, where there is currently a shortage of medium-priced rental homes.
Connected to district heating, the project is targeting an energy label of A++ and an average GPR Building score of 7.5.
The project is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2024.
