74-Story Building is Making Progress in Austin
Construction progresses on the 74-story, 1,025-ft-high Waterline in Austin. This 2.7 million square foot (250,838 square meter) mixed-use development will include 351 luxury rental apartments, 700,000 square feet (65,032 square meters) of office space, a 251-room hotel, retail areas, and plazas across a 3.25-acre site. The project, designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox (KPF) and HKS Inc., is managed by DPR Construction and co-developed by Lincoln Property Co. and Kairoi Residential, with an estimated cost of $520 million USD.
Featuring advanced construction technologies, sustainable design, and significant green spaces, the Waterline is projected to surpass JPMorgan Chase Tower in height, currently the tallest building in Houston and the state of Texas. The ambition to build taller embodies Austin's growing architectural and urban ambitions. The Waterline is set for completion in late 2026.
