34-Story Proposal for New Residences in Toronto
A new proposal has been submitted for a 34-story structure standing 117.9 meters and featuring 377 residential units. Located at the southeast corner of Bayview and Broadway Avenue in Toronto, Canada, the site currently has a gas station and associated convenience store on it. The gas station would be removed for the proposed building designed by design firm, architects-Alliance.
The proposal features a stepped podium of four to eight stories, with architecture intended to complement the frontages along Bayview Avenue and Broadway Avenue. The tower component would feature floor-to-ceiling fenestration with step backs to help maintain views. In keeping with the aesthetic of Sherwood Park, the landscaping would be designed to include as much green space as possible, with about 329.6 square meters of green roof space included. The total density for the site would be about 14.7 times the lot area, bringing a great number of new residents and activity to the Sherwood Park community.
The proposal is located about 250 meters north of the Leaside station on Eglinton Line 5 Crosstown, that is targeted to open in about a year.
