For this week of our Member Appreciation Month, we proudly highlight CTBUH member Egis, a global leader in architecture, engineering, and consulting. Egis operates in over 100 countries with a workforce exceeding 20,000 professionals, and continues to grow in North America and the Middle East. Founded and headquartered in France, Egis has brought together expertise from various sectors throughout its 70-year history, including transport and major structures.
As a new CTBUH Platinum member, Egis aims to actively engage in discussions with other experts and professionals in urban development, tall buildings, and sustainability. Focused on advancing sustainable construction through innovative eco-design and creating a resilient built environment for growing populations, this commitment is underscored by a systematic reduction of carbon emissions in their designs and operations, and the implementation of renewable energy sources. This exceptional dedication can be seen in their contributions to projects like Tours Duo in Paris, PIF Tower in Riyadh, and the under-construction SkyTower at Pinnacle One Yonge in Toronto.

With an extensive network of design offices across the region, Egis is an active contributor to the dynamic urban evolution in the Middle East with pivotal roles in shaping urban development schemes, airports, and mobility projects. Their work spans diverse sectors, from retail and hospitality to healthcare, sports, entertainment, high-rise residential, and commercial projects. The firm's tall building portfolio in the region features landmarks such as the PIF Tower (385-meter) in Riyadh, The Address Residence-Fountain Views III (331.8-meter) and Palm Tower (231.5-meter) in Dubai, and the recently topped-out Four Seasons Hotel at the Jeddah Corniche (125-meter) in Jeddah.
The Four Seasons Jeddah is a 30-story property with four buildings interconnected by two prominent skybridges. Spanning 50 meters and 34 meters and rising six and seven stories, these composite steel-concrete skybridges offer panoramic views of the Red Sea while adding significant volume to the building—accounting for 22.8 percent and 17.7 percent of their respective towers. Egis provided structural, construction and MEP engineering services and achieved this ambitious vision through a focused redesign that refined the structure and erection methods, ensuring project viability, compliance, and an appreciable reduction in embodied carbon, ultimately adding a high-quality landmark to the Corniche.
Egis’s commitment to innovation, excellence, and sustainability is transforming skylines and urban landscapes around the world. By addressing the environmental challenges and investing in its people, Egis demonstrates how advanced engineering and visionary design can contribute to the next generations of tall buildings and urban design, forging a more resilient and low-carbon future.
