CTBUH Austria Presents: Architecture, Sustainability and Timber from the Nordic Perspective

Wednesday, 28 September 2022 | DC3 Tower | Vienna
CTBUH Austria would like to invite you to these exciting presentations followed by a guided tour of the recently handed over DC3 tower. The Event will be closed with a welcome reception in the Rooftop Bar of the DC3 Tower.

Climate neutrality is becoming the dominant demand for new buildings as Europe transitions to the Green Economy, and timber buildings play a leading role in this sustainable transition. Sebastian Bildau, architect M.Arch., and C.F. Møller’s Firmwide Mass Timber Specialist, will talk about the firm’s work with timber buildings from the very first sketch with a special focus on user wellness, operational efficiency and the exploration of passive sustainable strategies that integrate building orientation, material selection and experiential factors.

The combination of renewable and ecological timber with two of the strongest materials, steel and concrete, optimizes the efficiency of the entire structure. Daniel Ferger, lead technical distributor of Peikko Germany and Péter Szász, CEO of KS Ingenieure ZT GmbH will talk about the possibilities of intelligent hybrid solutions.
