Join the CTBUH Canada Chapter for a construction tour of a landmark project in Vaughan, developed by Cortel Group. This iconic 60-storey mixed-use residential tower, designed by BDP Quadrangle with structural engineering by Entuitive and landscape architecture by DTAH, stands as a testament to innovative design and engineering.

The construction tour runs from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm, please arrive on time as there will be little grace period before the tour starts and you may miss the tour otherwise. Following the tour there is a hosted networking session. Venue TBD.

CG Tower

With 551 residential units, 574,000 square feet of residential GFA, 16,976 square feet of office space, and 13,369 square feet of retail, the CG Tower stands tall as a landmark that has been designed as a "home in the sky". The construction tour will highlight unique features and the vision behind the project, as well as address constraints posed by the flight path, challenges with early occupancy for the first 30 storeys, structural achievements, rapid construction techniques, and efforts to build a community by enhancing the ground floor as a gateway to Edgeley Pond and Park while maintaining connectivity to Highway 7.

This building is a key component of the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre (VMC) vision, contributing to the development of a transit-oriented downtown in Vaughan. This vision has been progressively realized over the past five years and continues to shape the city's future.

The tour will be hosted by Cortel Group, BDP Quadrangle, and Entuitive. We invite participants to join guided, small-group tours, each focusing on specific aspects of the project, followed by a networking event where they can engage in informal discussions with the project team.

Important Info

Parking: There is paid parking just east of the site at 2800 Hwy 7 (Venu Event Space)
Check-in: North East corner of the site adjacent to Edgely Park Playground on Maplecrete Road.
PPE: CSA approved construction boots, hard-hats, and safety vests are all mandatory for all attendees. There will be no PPE available to borrow so please make arrangements to obtain some if you don't personally own any.
