CTBUH Canada | Toronto Presents: The Why and How of Tanked Basements in the GTA

Please join the CTBUH Toronto Chapter for a networking hot breakfast, lecture, and panel discussion on tanked basements. This program is for designers, developers, and contractors who design and construct buildings in the Greater Toronto Area.

Joanne Di Caro, a former manager at Toronto Water, will explain how to evaluate a development site with regard to compliance with the city’s foundation drainage policy. James Cooper, P. Eng., a waterproofing consultant and Principal at RJC Engineers, will discuss the fundamentals of designing the tanked basement and the criteria to select the optimized waterproofing system. David Steinberg, President of Construction at Nu-Site Contractors Ltd., will explain the installation procedures to achieve a long serving, dry, tanked basement.

Following these three presentations, a panel discussion will be moderated by Mark Garland, President of general contractor GCL Builds.
