Humanizing High Density: Sustainable Future Cities

Thursday, 17 September 2020 | Shenzhen

As people have been spending more time in their homes and offices during the COVID-19 pandemic, the standards for the safety, comfort, and convenience of these spaces has risen, and the objective of humanizing the built environment has never been more relevant.

On 17 September, 2020, CTBUH China held a conference at the 341.4-meter-tall Shenzhen Bay Tower 7, which was ratified by the CTBUH in 2019 with an official signboard ceremony as the “World’s Highest Concert Hall.” The event featured experts specializing in different phases of a building’s life cycle, who shared practical knowledge and successful case studies in the development, design, and operations of residential and office high-rises. Strategic thinking, future design concepts, and cutting-edge technological applications in high-density urbanization were also discussed.
