Synopsis

This powerful environmental documentary shines a spotlight on remarkable women in construction leading the charge in the climate action revolution. These passionate and visionary female innovators are at the forefront of efforts to decarbonize the built environment in the 21st century.

Through their groundbreaking work, they are transforming our relationship with carbon by repurposing living materials, converting waste into valuable chemicals that combat climate change, and spearheading decarbonization initiatives in construction and architecture. Their comprehensive examination of low-carbon building materials and technologies—ranging from algae-based alternative cement and electrified manufacturing to mass timber and greener steel—centers on the next generation infrastructure materials.

The film highlights their resilience as they navigate and excel in male-dominated industries, sharing the personal and professional challenges they face, revealing their struggles and their triumphs.

Interwoven with their stories are the voices of young adults who share their dreams and frustrations, offering a broader perspective on the future. Themes of motherhood, the collaborative spirit and the power of intergenerational connections are explored, emphasizing the deep bonds that fuel their commitment to environmental stewardship.

Together, these women’s collective wisdom and unwavering determination converge into a unified mission: to restore, protect, and preserve our planet for future generations.
