CTBUH Chapter Event
Kindly hosted by the Mutuelle des Architectes MAF, the CTBUH French Chapter is pleased to invite you to a discussion on comparative insurance practices relating to timber design and construction, as part of the various studies carried out by the Council on this material as a possible option to fight against global warming.
The United States (with policies varying according to the states), England, the Netherlands, Germany, France, and Spain will be compared through presentations of in-progress or delivered projects, approached from an insurance perspective. You are invited to reflect on the advantages and disadvantages of the various insurance policies, principles, mechanics, covers, stages, durations, and actors concerned, and to share your own feedback on the subject for buildings taller than 8 floors.
