2021 CTBUH Global Walking Tour: Ottawa

Wednesday, 10 November 2021 | Ottawa

Details

The Ottawa “Towers and Transit” tour is jointly organized by CTBUH and Urban Land Institute (ULI) Ottawa. The tour will explore the Preston-Carling District, also known as Ottawa’s little Italy community. The Preston-Carling District has become one of the most important re-urbanization areas in the city in recent years, and is emerging as the south-western gateway to the city’s downtown. Some of the city’s tallest mixed-use buildings will cluster around Dow’s Lake Station of O-train Trillium Line. These buildings will form a new, exciting, and distinctive downtown skyline visible from Dows Lake and the Rideau Canal World Heritage Site. The tour will explore some of the completed and planned projects in the Districts with opportunities to hear insights from developers and architects.

The starting location for this event is the Hickory Street pedestrian bridge, located at Hickory Street and the O-Train.
