Timber on the Rise, from Paris to Miami: the Bruneseau Seine Tower Case Study and University of Miami Littoral Urbanism Lab Research

The CTBUH Florida Chapter held a webinar that reviewed a case study on the Bruneseau Seine Tower in Paris and the current state of research in wood construction in Miami presented by Littoral Urbanism Lab at the University of Miami. The presentations discussed cross-laminated timber (CLT) work in Miami, emerging timber construction codes, and manufacturing processes. A panel discussion at the event's conclusion compared timber pricing, production, and technologies between the two geographic regions, with an eye to how the industry will continue to evolve into the future.
