Ole Scheeren is one of the most accomplished architects practicing today. His work includes such instant landmarks and cultural beacons as MahaNakhon Tower in Bangkok, the Empire City mega-development in Ho Chi Minh City, The Interlace and DUO in Singapore, and the CCTV Headquarters in Beijing, designed while partner-in-charge at OMA. These works and others ingeniously tackle challenges common to living and working in cities: namely, the desire for nature and green space, fresh air and social interconnectedness within our vertical communities. Buro Ole Scheeren has also distinguished itself in small-scale and cultural projects, from major museums to imaginative outdoor (and sometimes floating) cinema spaces. Scale models of both MahaNakhon and CCTV are currently on display at the CAC, in the Drake Family Skyscraper Gallery.
