Keynote Speakers:

Iñaqui Carnicero Alonso-Colmenares
Secretary General for Urban Agenda, Housing and Architecture

Carnicero holds a PhD in Architecture from the Polytechnic University of Madrid and has combined professional architectural practice with teaching, research, and curatorial work. He has taught at leading universities such as Cornell, Columbia, Yale, and MIT, and received numerous international awards including the Golden Lion at the Venice Biennale. From 2020 to 2023, he led the Directorate General of Urban Agenda and Architecture, where he advanced key initiatives like Spain’s first Architecture Quality Law and the PIREP program to rehabilitate public buildings. He has also championed the Urban Agenda through strategic investments and curated Spain's participation in major architectural biennials, while fostering dialogue around the New European Bauhaus as Spain’s National Contact Point.
