Please join the CTBUH UK Future Leaders Committee for our first ‘live’ building tour of the 2022/2023 programme. Main Contractor, Lendlease will lead the tour of 8 Bishopsgate which will include a brief presentation on the scheme and opportunity to see inside the scheme in its final few months of construction. Where: 8 Bishopsgate, London EC2N 4BQ (Site entrance is on Leadenhall Street) 
When: 2nd November 2022, 5.30pm – 6.30-7pm 

What to bring: noting this is a live construction site – PPE is required, we will contact all attendees ahead of the event to understand any PPE requirements and boot sizes if you cannot bring your own. Trousers and long sleeved tops are required. 

8 Bishopsgate

Designed for client Mitsubishi Estate London and being delivered by Stanhope,  on the corner of two of the most prominent streets in London, the 50-storey scheme is conceived as a series of stacked blocks in response to its urban context, with consideration of view corridors and an adjacent conservation area. The top three storeys are arranged as a pavilion incorporating the viewing/event space as well as plant rooms. The adoption of a raft foundation for low and mid-rise elements saved a further 3000 m3 of concrete, equating to 300 tonnes of CO2. A double skin façade mediates between maximum daylighting, occupier controlled shading and passive stack ventilation. The scheme is due to complete in 2023.
