As urbanization accelerates, cities face the dual challenge of accommodating growing populations while maintaining the richness and complexity of urban life. This symposium highlights how vertical communities can address this challenge by integrating services and amenities that promote social interaction, a sense of belonging, and sustainable living, while exploring tall buildings' impact on the green footprint, urban mobility, and pollution, beyond the impact on social living. Through case studies, expert discussions, and visionary proposals, the event aims to inspire innovative approaches to urban densification, demonstrating how tall buildings can evolve beyond their functional origins to become catalysts for social innovation and community building.
