CTBUH Board of Trustees Welcomes Two New Members

The CTBUH Board of Trustees welcomes two new members: Scott Duncan, Partner, Skidmore Owings & Merrill, and Shonn Mills, Global Director—High-Rise, Ramboll Group. As members of the organization's highest-level decision-making body, they will help oversee the governance of the Council on a financial and operational level, develop programs to ensure the continued growth of the Council, and help further its mission of serving professionals and academics involved in the development of tall buildings and urban habitats internationally.

Scott Duncan is a Design Partner at SOM, where he leads the design of large-scale high-rise projects in Chicago and in cities around the world. Duncan is a leader in sustainable design and technological innovation and has championed the firm’s vision for integrated design. The designer of some of SOM’s most influential recent work, Duncan’s design philosophy centers on solutions leading teams of experts in engineering, sustainability, high performance design, urban design, and interior design to realize highly contextual and impactful work designed to improve the lives of people around the world. 

Shonn Mills is a champion in design of complex structures and the management of large, multi-disciplinary teams, with experience spanning over 25 years. He is recognized expert in civil and structural engineering and has comprehensive cross disciplinary knowledge of specific building typologies such as high-rise buildings and airport terminals. More recently he has spearheaded Ramboll’s SMART Technology Consultancy services, founded in Asia and now a key component of the wider business. Mills is currently Global Director for High-Rise at Ramboll and a Board of Trustees member for the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat.
