CTBUH Chicago Presents: A Panel Discussion on Chicago Building Code Modernization

The CTBUH Chicago Chapter held a panel discussion at 150 North Riverside that focused on the latest Chicago Building Code Modernization as it relates to high-rise building design.

This event is moderated by Judith Frydland, Commissioner, City of Chicago Department of Buildings, and Grant Ullrich, Deputy Commissioner, City of Chicago Department of Buildings. They are both joined on stage by six panelists from the professional community that forecast the effects the code modernization will have on their specific areas of expertise, including architecture, structural engineering, MEP engineering, fire & risk, and sustainability. Each speaker delivered a brief presentation highlighting major changes, followed by a panel discussion and Q&A session.
