CTBUH Germany Symposium: Urban Densification

Wednesday, 18 September 2019
5:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Berlin, Germany

The trend towards even more urbanization is unbroken. Whereas for a long time it was only a question of simply increasing the usable space in the buildings themselves, in recent years the quality of the space between the buildings has increasingly come to the fore. But how do you open up as much space as possible for living and working, while at the same time maintaining high levels of structural, environmental and design quality required by the Leipzig Charter?

This symposium, hosted by CTBUH Germany presents case studies from an array of disciplines—and invites participants to discuss possible developments in their own cities. After the specialist presentations, moderator Boris Schade-Bünsow, editor-in-chief of Bauwelt will lead the subsequent panel discussion and Q&A session with the audience.

Those interested in getting involved with CTBUH Germany are invited to attend the inaugural Chapter meeting in conjunction with the Symposium. Taking place at the Werner Sobek Berlin office at 1:00 pm the day of the conference, attendees will have the unique opportunity to contribute to the development of this new Chapter. Please contact Frank Heinlein to reserve your spot.
