This October, CTBUH took a walk back in time, touring tall buildings and their related heritage contexts. Since 2014, urban enthusiasts from around the world have been taking part in the annual CTBUH Global Walking Tour. The tours take place with a specific annual theme and are held generally on the same day. The theme of this year's walk was “Height and Heritage."

The 2022 CTBUH Global Walking Tour was the ninth annual walk, taking place across 12 cities with over 250 attendees globally. 

Tour participants often post images from the walks on social media using the hashtag #CTBUHwalks, which allows participants to view the progress of the tours as they make their way from Auckland westward to North America. This year’s tweets, along with previous years, can be viewed using the Twitter hashtag #CTBUHWalks.
