The 10th International Student Design Competition, kindly sponsored by TK Elevator, concluded on 29 October 2021, with the presentations of four finalists from a pool of more than 150 entries. After spirited deliberation, the Student Design Competition Second-Round Jury selected Smart Cube +/Fast-Assembling COVID-19 Prevention Olympic Village as the first-place winner. The winning team took home a US$3,250 cash prize.

Their athletes’ village is designed to prevent viral spread and minimize impact on the athletes’ health. The whole building is made up of rapidly assembled structures. It is designed to be divided between living layers, an anti-epidemic stratum, and athletic training layers, to reduce crowd risk and maintain the necessary training facilities for the athletes themselves.

Marijana Gajic, University of Belgrade, Belgrade, Serbia (US$2,250 Cash Prize)
