CAIRO – Egypt’s first ever Skyscrapers Conference was held on 19 June, 2019 in Cairo, with the aim of showcasing the latest technology and architecture that are defining the country’s future in vertical urbanism. The Conference comes at a timely juncture, considering the ongoing construction efforts of the highly anticipated New Administrative Capital mega-project, expected to encompass 20 towers.
CTBUH CEO Antony Wood joined the Conference to deliver remarks as a keynote speaker, giving an overview of the challenges and opportunities entailed in the pursuit of sustainable vertical urbanism.
More than 450 delegates assembled to hear presentations from 45 speakers, covering topics such as vertical flow optimization, safety and risk management, structural design, wind engineering, building technology and construction techniques.
