Tower Hamlets Refuses Columbus Tower Permission

Tower Hamlets planning committee made one of its most surprising decisions when it rejected a renewed planning application to continue planning approval of the Columbus Tower next to Canary Wharf.  With only a few very minor changes to the scheme designed by DMWR Architects, the proposal is almost identical to the one that Tower Hamlets had approved in 2005. MMRDA relaxes norms for bidders of iconic building

World's tallest skyscraper to be built in Saudi Arabia

Saudi business mogul Prince al-Waleed bin Talal's Kingdom Holding company announced that it had signed an agreement for the construction of the world's highest skyscraper.  According to the company's statement, the skyscraper will be 1,000 meters (3,280 feet) high and will be built in the city of Jeddah off the Red Sea.
