London firm Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners has completed a 34-story office tower in Sydney with criss-crossing red braces on its sides and an elevated terrace cutting through its middle. The practice collaborated with Sydney firm Lippman Partnership to design the tower for Australian real-estate company Mirvac. Read more.

Architects Agnieskzka Preibisz and Peter Sandhaus have unveiled plans for a figure-eight-shaped conceptual residential tower for the eastern quarter of Berlin. Sited at the Alexanderplatz, Green8 would be a "vertical garden city" designed to cultivate healthy food and a community environment. Read more.

The New York City Council green-lighted plans for the putative “world's tallest observation wheel" to be built on Staten Island. The council’s approval is the final step in the process authorizing the wheel’s construction. Called The New York Wheel, the project will be 630 feet (192 meters) tall, accommodating as many as 1,440 passengers. Read more.
