An upscale hotel chain will occupy the top 17 floors of the 118-story Merdeka PNB118, which is currently under construction in Kuala Lumpur. The building is on track to become the world’s third-tallest building once completed in 2021. Read more.

CapitaLand has announced the completion of the first section of a skybridge that will eventually connect four 250-meter-tall high-rises in Chongqing. The $3.8 billion development will also include two 350-meter-tall mixed-use towers. Read more.

A historic Freemason center in Milwaukee is undergoing a $60 million renovation that will see the three-story building add a 14-story hotel tower on top of its roof. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Read more.

The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino is rising fast outside of Hollywood, Florida. Construction of the 140.5-meter guitar-shaped hotel tower recently passed the halfway mark and is expected to be completed by mid-2019. Read more.

The 64-story 111 Murray Street, designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox, is now fully clad in its glass façade. The tower contains 157 apartments ranging from two-bedrooms that start at $4.3 million to five-bedroom units that could fetch $18.9 million. Read more.

Palm Tower in Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah has passed the 80 percent mark in terms of concrete work, with 42 floors complete. The 52-story tower will include a 289-room hotel, 432 luxury residences and a public viewing deck. Read more.

Video footage shows a jacuzzi in Brazil’s tallest tower, Millennium Palace in the southern city of Balneário Camboriú, overflowing due to the swaying of the tower in a strong windstorm. The 177.3 meter tower was completed in 2014. Read more.

Construction on Saudi Arabia’s $1.5 billion Jeddah Tower has reached the 63rd floor, with shell and cladding work to be completed next year. Scheduled for a 2020 completion date, Jeddah Tower will be more than 1,000 meters tall. Read more.
