Saudi Arabian developer Cayan Investment & Development will celebrate the inauguration of Dubai's Infinity Tower next Monday, June 10. The 75-story building spirals 90 degrees from base to tip and was designed and built by Skidmore Owings & Merrill and contractor Arabtec. Read more.

The Marina Bay Financial Centre (MBFC) celebrated its official opening May 15 in Singapore's central business district. The four-tower mixed-use development, designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates (KPF), has been under construction since 2006. Read more.

Last month marked the opening of the L'Avenue Shanghai commercial development, including a 28-story office tower and four-story retail podium. Parisian firm X-Tu Architects has completed its Nanterre Apartment Blocks in the Nanterre suburb of Paris. The $52 million Tree House Residence Hall at Massachusetts College of Art and Design, MassArt, has reached completion. The 21-story tower was created by ADD Inc. with the collaborative input of students, faculty and the neighboring community. Read more.

The Japan Post Tower will celebrate the formal grand opening for all commercial space on Friday, March 21. The JAHN-designed skyscraper will house the renovated headquarters of the Tokyo Central Post Office, an academic and cultural museum, office space and a retail galleria. Read more.

London's Shard officially acquired the title of Europe's tallest skyscraper with the opening of the viewing platform on February 1. Pakistan's future tallest building is reportedly nearing completion in the nation's capital. The US$71.4 million Ocean Tower will surpass the country's current tallest by 4 meters (12 feet) and will function as a retail and office tower. Read more.

Officials in the India state of Gujarat this week formally inaugurated a 122-meter tower that is part of the Gujarat International Financial Tec-City. The tower is the first project to launch in the center, which is planned to include 110 towers. Read more.

Los Angeles-based firm P-A-T-T-E-R-N Architects has completed its Argentinian condo building. Jujuy Redux is an eight-story, 13,500-square foot apartment building located in the growing city of Rosario, about 200 miles north of Buenos Aires. Read more.

The Japanese newspaper Asahi Shimbun Co. celebrated the opening of its headquarters, the Nakanoshima Festival Tower, in Osaka this week. The 200 meter (656 foot) tower became the fourth tallest building in the city upon its completion. Read more.

The 105-story, pyramid-shaped hotel which has been under construction since the ‘80s in North Korea’s capital city might be opening for the first time in a matter of months.
