‘Hotel of Doom’ Announces Opening Date

The 105-story, pyramid-shaped hotel which has been under construction since the ‘80s in North Korea’s capital city might be opening for the first time in a matter of months. The Ryugyong Hotel will “partially, probably” open in mid 2013, Reto Wittwer, CEO of hotel operator Kempinski AG, said Thursday. Read more.


Devon Tower Celebrates Grand Opening

The 50-story Devon Energy Building, the tallest building completed in the U.S. this year, celebrated is official opening on Tuesday. The 844-foot (257-meter) Devon Tower has been open since March, but yesterday marked the invitation-only commemoration ceremony. Read more.
