The Vermont Tops Out in LA

JH Snyder's The Vermont project topped out in Los Angeles last week, on Thursday, June 27. The 464-unit project features 23- and 29-story towers, 40,000 square feet (3,700 square meters) of retail, as well as a quarter-acre central courtyard and a sky lobby on the seventh floor. Read more.

Cheesegrater Tops Out in the City of London

A ceremony marking the topping-out of The Leadenhall Building was held on Tuesday, June 18, attended by Boris Johnson, Mayor of London. Owned by the joint venture of British Land and Oxford Properties, the building has been under construction since early 2011 and is due to complete in summer 2014. Read more.

Chile’s Tallest Building Nears Completion

South America’s future tallest building, the 70-story Gran Torre Costanera Center in Santiago, Chile, is attracting controversy, the AFP reports. The $1 billion Cesar Pelli-designed structure topped out in February 2012 and is expected to be completed in March 2013. Read more.

Jordan’s Future Tallest Tower Tops Out

DAMAC Properties has announced its tower in Amman, Jordan is now topped out. The Heights, which will be the tallest residential tower in the country when it is completed, is a 35-story project in Al Abdali, the new downtown district of Amman. Read more.

Moscow Tower Overtakes The Shard

Construction on the 75-story Mercury City Tower in Moscow has surpassed the height of The Shard as the structure topped out at 339 meters this week. The 306-meter Shard will be the tallest building in Europe when it is completed next year. Read more.

Toronto’s Tall Building Boom Continues With 'L' Tower Topping Out

ZHA Hong Kong Innovation Tower Tops Out
