May 12, Birmingham RPlans for a 27-storey skyscraper which could create 2,000 jobs in Birmingham city centre are to be considered in May 2009. Kuwaiti firm Salhia Investments bought up former factories and warehouses in Digbeth for the £150m development. Nasser Al-Ghanim of the firm said: "We have seen different opportunities, but Birmingham was the one that really screamed out." The city council said it had received more than 12 objections to the scheme which goes before planners on 21 May 2009...more
