May 11, Shiraz, Iran Construction on the foundations is currently underway on the first ever skyscraper in the Iranian city of Shiraz with a design that wouldn't look out of place in Star Trek. The project named the Shiraz World Trade Center will stand at 47 stories when complete taking it over the 200 meters mark.
