March 6, London Peter Rees, the city’s planning officer, admitted this week that the gloom among developers and investors is so great it could be a generation before another tall building planning application is received by his department. “If a major project has not started in the city already, it is unlikely to start,” he told BD. “I’m not thinking years, I’m thinking decades… After the Wall Street crash, it took 20 years to recover.”...more
